We are located in the heartland of the United States, Central Nebraska. We first saw the Miniature Australian Shepherd in 2002. My husband always liked the standard Aussie, but I thought they were bigger than what we needed. One day he saw an ad for a "mini aussie". We pulled up the website and that was it. We decided this was the breed for us. We continued to do some researching and found some wonderful people, Lynn Gray of Bluegrass Kennels and Judy Linder of Linderland Kennels. Lynn helped us pick the perfect puppy and Bailey, our red tri girl, came into our lives. Bailey is from Linderlands and is very special to us. As the saying goes, the rest is history.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd is a small Australian Shepherd, a breed developed in the American west primarily as a ranch dog. The purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd originated from and developed out of Australian Shepherd bloodlines that have continuously and consistently produced small dogs. Enthusiasts who preferred the smaller sized dogs have been breeding this variety since the early sixties.
We strive for great temperament,
wonderful structure, and good health. Our
Miniature
Australian Shepherd are raised in our
home, under our feet and in our hearts.
All of our dogs eyes are checked yearly and hips are OFA'd prior to
breeding. Please do your research when choosing a new dog. Check
with several breeders. They should be willing to answer your
questions and help you pick the perfect dog for you.
